Now load the "Quick Save" and let the two MC's fight again. Now, see how the battle turns out, hit the menu again and "Load/Save" and save the out come as 1. ( **HINT** = Before you Host Nation's MC ( Military Convoy ) engages an Enemy MC hit "Quick Save" from the drop down menu in the top right. I get gold for the residential only, I do not have to pay workers or find raw materials in non-player towns. If I have a building permit in a town, I build 2 Residentials and 2 business's. Then I only build in towns that offer 2 raw materials that my town needs.

I do not buy building permits until I have my own towns now. A town that produces wood and brick will build it's self more or less. Again, a good place to sit and wait for their beaten up MC's to return and be snapped up with a minimum of work/losses/damage if they have done it tough in French or Dutch Territorial waters. These choke points make easy pickings for Taking on the Spaniards!Įngland will sail past Turk Island and Tortuga on the way to attacking France and Holland. Most Spanish MC's on the hunt will pass through these choke points if they are hunting Dutch or French trading fleets and MC's. There are 4 Major "Choke Points" They are Cancun, Florida Keys, Turk Island/Totuga and the West side of the island where San Juan is situated. The first is Strategic location: Pick a town that is close to center of the action. I would strongly advise you to consider two major factors in choosing your first town.

You will need to "Annex" two towns for your Host Nation before they give you a town all of your own. Now you can see the Strength of all the Nations', who is at war with who, how many towns they have and how many Military Convoys the have protecting those Nations. On the left side of the pop up window is a list of icons.Ĭlick on the third Icon from the top. To see how strong a nation is, click on the Clock in the top left corner, this is The Chronicle. Once you have destroyed or captured enough enemy Military convoys to make an enemy Nation "Weak", visit the Viceroy and he will task you with capturing a town

Carracks and Caravells are slow, soft hitters and weak in my book. All the other ships are too slow or too small. Ships of the line, War Galleons, Carracks and Caravels are too expensive to run in Trade Routes. Military Frigate and Corvettes are wonderful ships to run in your Trade Route Convoys. When I wage War, I do not run trade routes, Most MC's run 180-230+ guns, if you have less guns than them, they will attack your trading convoy, you will lose ships and cargo. The Military Corvette/Frigate and Pirate Barque are the best trade ships in my book. The best ships to keep are English Ships of the Line, Spanish War Galleons, English Military Frigates and French Military Corvettes. Let them do the heavy hitting and swoop in after a battle to pick up the pieces. Your Nation is at War! Follow your Nations Military Convoy's into "Hot" areas. Better to save your gold if you can, to repair ships in your home town.īuild your battle fleet. Get a "Letter of Marque" or "LoM" from a Governor, some times they will give a mission that requires they also give you a LoM. I hope the following helps ***īuild your reputation with your host nation to 4 flags. ***I have been playing Port Royal 2 since 2008 not all the time but I keep coming back to it. You can have your own towns in Port Royale 2.
